2 YEARS OLD

Can you believe my Riley boy is 2?? I can't. These past 2 years have gone so fast.
On Riley's birthday, he woke up to mommy singing to him, and then we went to get daddy up.
He got to open a few presents in the morning, which he got Thomas the Train shoes. He loved them!
Then we took him out to breakfast (a new tradition) and then we asked him what else he wanted to do, and he told us swimming in sign language, so we went to the Clearfiedl pool. We spent a few hours there. He went down the water slide with daddy, and played and played in the water. After that, we came home and took a nice nap, then family came over for cake and ice cream.
When I came home from picking up the cake, I showed Riley, and he was so excited, since it was Thomas the Train. I put it on the table, and next thing I knew Riley pushed it off the table. I was a little sad, that I didn't have the chance to take a picture of it. Luckily, it only smushed the writing. It was funny and cute at the same time.
Of course he got spoiled with train, clothes, and a JAZZ basketball.
The day after he turned 2, he has turned into a little "terd" as we call him. He wants to do everything by himself, or he wants only one person either daddy or grandma or grandpa. I heard if 2 is hard, 3 yrs is even tougher. But, what can you do? Just love him..

Offically a BOY!

On Monday nigh, I was getting Riley ready for bed. Our routine is taking a bath and watching a movie.Well, as I was getting him out of the tub, I went to reach for the towel, and Riley stood up in the tub, and slipped and hit his chin on the outside of the tub. Immediately, he started crying. Thinking to myself, OH CRAP! Sure enough he cut his chin open. So, we made a trip to Wee Care to get stitchesHe cried the whole time, from cleaning it off, to the very end getting the stitches in. He got 3 stitches. He kept saying, "Mommy Off, off." I had to hold him down pretty good, in order for him not to move. I felt so bad. I sure do love this boy. I can't believe he will be 2, next week. The next day, we went to buy COOL band aids for his owie, but he didn't even want to keep the band aid on. Again, he said "Mommy off, off." So, all I could do was put some neosporin on it. I hope he does a little bit better taking them out.By the way, I did this all by MYSELF. Case was at work til late, and then had hockey practice. I was a pretty brave mommy. Luckily, I see this everyday at work, but, it's not the same when it's your on child.
