PICTURES

I never thought my husband looked at our blog, but I was wrong. He told me the other day, I went to show my co-workers our blog and you deleted our pictures. I was shocked he told me looks at the blog. So, I told him I would put some random pictures up so he could show his friends. Grouse Creek Cabin

New Update!

I had to change my whole layout of the blog, due to some layout issuses. I hope it works. With our family we have had some fun exciting things happen. Riley: Is growing and grwoing everyday. He is learning his colors right now. He is a smart little guy. He knows some colors in sign language and the other ones he will speak them. Grandpa Darwin taught him that GREEN means GO! So, everytime we are driving and see GREEN he says, "Mommy GO!" It's pretty cute. He loves to watch movies, and play with his toys. Since it has started to warm up, he LOVES to play outside. He doesn't ever want to come in to eat or get ready for bed, he would rather eat and sleep outside. The other day, we were in church and he said, "Mommy, POOP!" I thought it was pretty funny, so I took him out to change his bum, but he was just tooting. It was pretty funny. Natalie: Just had a GREAT/SPOILED birthday. I'm keeping busy with work and my hobbies (when I have time.) When I'm not doing these things, I'm usually playing with Riley or keeping up with our house. Exactly what a mommy and a wife does. I do enjoy it. Case: He FINALLY got into the nursing program! He starts in August at Weber State. We are so EXCITED for him. So, that means he will be a busy guy, by working two jobs, going to school, and keeping up on the outside house stuff, but it will be worth it in the end. That is what we keep saying to ourselvs. Later, on this week, we will be starting to put our yard together. A new sprinkler system and then start getting to lay sod down. We are always keeping busy. I always say this, but I'm going to do my BEST to update this often.

2 YEARS OLD

Can you believe my Riley boy is 2?? I can't. These past 2 years have gone so fast.
On Riley's birthday, he woke up to mommy singing to him, and then we went to get daddy up.
He got to open a few presents in the morning, which he got Thomas the Train shoes. He loved them!
Then we took him out to breakfast (a new tradition) and then we asked him what else he wanted to do, and he told us swimming in sign language, so we went to the Clearfiedl pool. We spent a few hours there. He went down the water slide with daddy, and played and played in the water. After that, we came home and took a nice nap, then family came over for cake and ice cream.
When I came home from picking up the cake, I showed Riley, and he was so excited, since it was Thomas the Train. I put it on the table, and next thing I knew Riley pushed it off the table. I was a little sad, that I didn't have the chance to take a picture of it. Luckily, it only smushed the writing. It was funny and cute at the same time.
Of course he got spoiled with train, clothes, and a JAZZ basketball.
The day after he turned 2, he has turned into a little "terd" as we call him. He wants to do everything by himself, or he wants only one person either daddy or grandma or grandpa. I heard if 2 is hard, 3 yrs is even tougher. But, what can you do? Just love him..

Offically a BOY!

On Monday nigh, I was getting Riley ready for bed. Our routine is taking a bath and watching a movie.Well, as I was getting him out of the tub, I went to reach for the towel, and Riley stood up in the tub, and slipped and hit his chin on the outside of the tub. Immediately, he started crying. Thinking to myself, OH CRAP! Sure enough he cut his chin open. So, we made a trip to Wee Care to get stitchesHe cried the whole time, from cleaning it off, to the very end getting the stitches in. He got 3 stitches. He kept saying, "Mommy Off, off." I had to hold him down pretty good, in order for him not to move. I felt so bad. I sure do love this boy. I can't believe he will be 2, next week. The next day, we went to buy COOL band aids for his owie, but he didn't even want to keep the band aid on. Again, he said "Mommy off, off." So, all I could do was put some neosporin on it. I hope he does a little bit better taking them out.By the way, I did this all by MYSELF. Case was at work til late, and then had hockey practice. I was a pretty brave mommy. Luckily, I see this everyday at work, but, it's not the same when it's your on child.

Update!

Sorry, it has taken me FOREVER to update. With the holidays, it has been CRAZY.First of all, We had a wondreful Chrismas. As always, we got SPOILED. Riley, was a lot of fun this year. He kind of knew what was going on. When he first woke up, he saw a new Car's bed, and his stocking. He pulled out all the candy, and was playing with it for a little while. He just wanted to play with one thing at a time. After opening presents, we went to my side of the family, and Riley got the hang of opening the presents. We, had a good time watching him open presents and his facial expressions.Next, Case suprised me with 4 days in San Diego for our Anniversary. I was so suprised. He had the trip planned three months before he told me. He had everything planned, from who was going to watch Riley, and from what we were going to do in San Diego. We left two days after Christmas and came home on New Year's Eve. We drove there, and it felt like it took FOREVER, we got into California right at rush hour traffic, so it took us an extra hour to get to our hotel. The next day, we went to Coronado Beach, and spent a few hours playing in the sand and water (it was freezing) but nice to have warm weather (80 degrees), went shopping. We also went to the San Diego temple and went to a different beach La Jolla. This beach had sea lions all over the beach. We also, watched the sun go down. Case took a MILLION pictures of the sun set. (Which he loves) The other days, we were lazy. We slept in, went out to lunch, went swimming. We had a great time, we didnt want to come home, but we missed out little boy too much.I got an early Birthday present from my parents, a new printer for my computer. This printer is very high-tech. It can print up to the size of 13x19, it faxes, it copies, and scans documents. The main reason, I wanted this printer is for my scrapbook program, in order to print the pages, I needed a wide format printer. So, my parents suprised me with it. I LOVE it! It, took me awhile to set it up, and figure things out, but now I think I have everything figured out. Now, I just have to start my scrapbooks. I have many projects to accomplish this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I thought I would wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This year Riley has been so fun. He has been pointing to the lights and trees, saying ahh. But, he wont have anything to do with Santa, as you can see in the picture.. Lately, Riley has been talking alot! He is so cute! When he say's "I love you" He say's "Do-Do" He makes up his own words for things, which is cute. He also, loves watching movies. I will put in Cars, and he will watch it for 20 mins and then will want to watch a different movie. We think, he is growing, because lately, he has been eating and sleeping alot. Which has been nice for me. I can't beleive he will be 2 in a few months. Time goes by way too fast!

Becoming Crafty!

Lately, I have been doing some crafts once a month.
I recently found a place where they sell all kinds of wood, metal and decorations, that you can paint. (I could spend $100 bucks in that store)

My mother in- law bought me a cute display table that, I could put my decorations on or just my pictures. Well, it has turned into my decoration table.
My goal is to make a cute decoration for each holiday or season.

Here are a few things I have done with in the last month.. (I can't wait for Christmas, knowing there will be tons of CUTE things I can and want to make..)

With our family update..

Case, has started back to school for the fall semester.. Also, hoping to get into the nursing program (again), it is a very tough program to get into.. This year he will have completed all the pre-req's and will have his associate's degree.

Riley is learing to talk.. You can tell he wants to talk, and just makes up his own language. He is so cute.. He now know's how to say eat, bye bye, mom..

And Me, i have been trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking. I just finished Riley's baby book, and now starting on the year 2011. I know, I'm way behind, but at least it is getting done slowly..
